In light of the rapidly unfolding COVID-19 pandemic, VegFest 2020 has been canceled. We hope to return in 2021.

April 10, 2021 - 10am-6pm

Cocoanut Grove at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk

VegFest brings the local community together to celebrate and learn about a plant-based, cruelty-free, and environmentally-sustainable lifestyle. VegFest 2019 brought together 5,050 veg-interested attendees!

How To Get There

We encourage you to walk, Jump Bike, take a Lyft, ride the Bus, or carpool if possible.

 

Parking: The Boardwalk operates lots on Beach St. Rate: $15/day

Parking is also available for $5/day at Depot Park (1/2 mile walk)

"Food Justice: The Power of Our Food Choices"

 

lauren Ornelas is the founder/director of Food Empowerment Project (F.E.P.), a vegan food justice nonprofit seeking to create a more just world by helping consumers recognize the power of their food choices. F.E.P. works in solidarity with farm workers, advocates for chocolate not sourced from the worst forms of child labor, and focuses on access to healthy foods in communities of color and low-income communities.
